If you have seen the post about the stuff I’ve had lying around for ages without ever sewing it together you might have noticed the four violet stars. Well I finally sewed it together and this is what it looks like now:
The pattern I used is this pattern for a Staryu: http://cdbvulpix.blogspot.de/2011/06/120-staryu.html
Obviously I changed a lot. I took violet instead of gold yarn and made 4 stars. For the jewel I changed the last two rounds so I ended up with eight and not five arms and of course I didn’t do the straps.
The rest was just sewing. I started with sewing the jewel to one of the stars and then I sewed the two middle stars together to get about the right shape. The sewing part was very difficult as the stars were amongst the first things I crocheted and I pulled the stitches very close so, basically, I could use this Starmie as a Shuriken…
When Cerulean City Gym is in danger, Misty dives into action. Her Water Pokémon are ready to wipe out the competition. Can she defeat Jessie, win the splashdown battle - and the respect of her own sisters? Get set for another wet and wild Pokémon adventure.
Update from tonight. Painted Starmie and then kinda hopped around. Renuka’s pants are giving me trouble (which is so fucking funny omg b/c her name is Renuka Pant omg!).
Beside the Starmie it says “STARMIE WHAT DO YOU SEE?”
I was just messing around with the blend option in Illustrator and made this, I thought it looked kinda cool, like a Staryu evolved into Starmie mid-flight :D
